Delightful, Delicious, De-Lovely

Okay, now I get Delicious. I sort of grasped the concept but had no sense of its value, much less how to use it. To net both of those birds, I searched for tutorials online and found one that is really, really good, despite being only 3 minutes long. Clear English language, no jargon. Why Delicious is a good idea (oh yeah! order imposed on all those disorganized bookmarks!). How to sign up and get started. What features to use and how. It was all there.

In a few moments, I understood it, was excited about using it, and knew how to go about it. I had already signed up for an account, but out of TechFear had skipped over the steps of adding the Delicious buttons to my toolbar, worried that the toolbar would collapse under its weight or that my computer would blow up. (This is a standard fear of the over-40 crowd.) I have had a great time importing my motley collection of bookmarks from my browser and tagging them into helpful categories. I love it!

Thanks to Mai

What would we do without digital friends? I'm not sure how I was able to create this, because I got one error message after another in the effort. But one thing is for sure: It never would have happened without the step-by-step instructions from fellow SLIS student and digital maven Mai.
